Bill Gates Question to Linked-in networkers

Dear bloggers,
yesterday Bill Gates asked a very interesting question which sounded a strong call directed to the wide arena of internet on how to pass along passion for Science and Technology to our younger generations. He sounded really concerned about it maybe because when maturity knocks at our door, you ask yourself what heritage you can donate to future generations. Especially for VIP, questions asked to "common" people might really signify understanding of how important it is to build common awareness through the help of the community. Very important people and Philantropists have the responsibility to provide wise conclusions as it is very likely that they will pave the way for future trends. Young people need a solid point of reference. We don't know what Bill Gates has in mind when he asks his "Guru" question, but it's up to the community as a whole to try and figure out how to make young generations feel passion for life and their work. The globe is made up of ourselves, and everyone should be called upon to provide valuable feedback to benefit from this brainstorming. Novilinguists Multimedia is a medium size company widely renowned on the international scenario whose core is localization and translation services to IT companies and we try to convey passion to our young employees by adopting a transparent approach with them all, allowing them to participate in the everyday conduction of the business, stimulating team working and a safe and friendly environment where ideas are shared and knowledge is capitalized because it is deliberately put in common. Entrepreneurs have a huge responsibility when it comes to building ethical relationships with the employees, the vendors, the suppliers, the state, everyone in the chain of value. Everyone not just Bill Gates should worry about future generations and I am sure less famous people can contribute equally to the change as from little seeds scattered on the ground, a rubust plant can develop strong roots and grow high in the sky. Novilinguists Multimedia is trying to create new business opportunities in the localization and IT sector, not only to maximize profit but also to offer new chances of employment for young people. Good ideas shared globally can generate new business prospects that in turn can create many opportunities for our young generation to step in.

Here is what I wrote to Bill Gates, feel free to give impressions or comments:

Dear Bill, I would start reflecting by putting Jesus words in front of ourselves: Here is what I say: open your eyes and look at the fields that are ready for harvesting. He who reaps is paid and harvests fruit for eternal life, because he who sows rejoices together with he who reaps. This shows the truth is: one sows and the other reaps. I sent you to reap the harvest for which you didn’t tire; others have toiled and now its your turn to take over from their fatigue. In order for young people to like this path, we must love it ourselves. Only love multiplies adherence to a strong passion. By donating ourselves to young people helping them to mellow, we help ourselves to become more mature human beings ourselves. It should be a mutual relationship which we establish with them. By sharing ideas and passion for what we do, young people will feel "valued" and sense of fulfilment will start to grow if we sincerely care about them. Money is only a tiny aspect of the matter, the rest is conveyed through generosity and being truthful persons who serve the needs of the young people and don't exploit them when they are still very open to trusting the world. The consequence of any abuse in their trust will generate disappointment and shift away from passion, therefore we should be very careful when we approach them. Adults should learn not to keep their insights and findings for themselves, but as time passes they will have to prepare to open their doors to those who will take over after them when the time comes. Eternity in time is the achieved capacity to create value within the people we meet and leave an impression in every heart, so that young people follow our example and will achieve greater things than we have done. The peak maturity of human nature is realized when we are happy that our pupils outscore masters (teachers, managers, head of companies). Dear Bill, philantropists are capable of passing along these eternal values to younger generations because they should have achieved the capacity to fully donate who they are to others. Philantropists are friends of humankind. I believe that young people are like our harvesting; the more young people are confronted with sane models, the more likely they are ready for harvesting. Scouting talents means to look very closely within our market, which is the global field in which we live and find the suitable plant for harvesting. Senior entrepreneurs have sowed and the young plant needs to be helped to grow and reach maturity. Richness which is inside of all young people is a gift we have to learn to harvest and cherish, it’s not in our possession and we should handle it with care. That’s the only way passion can come to light not only in personal life but also in the work environment.

Thank you very much

Localization: a linguistic mean to achieve globalization

Social networking

I am Maurizia Gregorio and I am the co-owner/manager, along with my partner Diego Cresceri ,of this translation company called Novilinguists Multimedia which specializes in tehnical, marketing and localizzation translations for IT industries.

This is my first blog and the purpose of it is to share some thoughts with people interested in social networking. I am so glad there are good-willed people out there who have the opportunity to pool their resources, time and professional skills to improve communication between us all. In fact, a global village is really born of the contrubitions, including free ones, from people who choose to give of themselves for the benefit of everyone.

I truly believe that developing a "global" vision that contains many points of view and includes everyone to form a creative whole is the main goal of social networking. Through it we work without losing sight of the more profound meaning of our actions: to come together, get to know each other and try to establish a dialogue between a diversity of individuals on the common ground of wanting to improve our lives and create new business opportunities to boost our economy which is currently so volatile.

Entrepreneurs should serve, and not serve themselves of, young people, who are the most important human resource and driving force of our businesses. If we put our trust in them and offer them opportunites, the return is one hundred-fold.

But we must put stock in our collective destiny. We need to wear "global" glasses that extend and broaden our gaze. People who play an entrepreneurial role of responsability should have an additude of humility, realizing that they have talents at their that disposal which must be managed for the good of everyone and not only for their own personal gain. Entrepreneurs should be socially responsible and foster participated management in the everyday running of their own operations.

We should employ young people. If we offer opportunities, hopefully production will also increase and consequently more wealth will be achieved for everyone. I believe we should try to help one another and find within our hearts the desire to belong to a big human family and see in others a part of ourselves.

Let us try to put into practice our inner convictions to make this joint action “go forth and multiply”.

Thank you for reading this long letter and I hope I have not bored anyone. I send my good wishes to all of you net-citizens:)
Maurizia
